| I realized very quickly that "my" ministry was not a one-man mission. Sure ... I'm the preacher, but the rest of the family has also invested their lives into God's work. Without their labor and dedication, the past 15 years would not have been as successful or rewarding! I thank God every day for a Godly wife & two daughters who have stayed the course that many preacher's kids would not. |
Our ministry has been quite unique and as we look back we often can not believe it ourselves! God has taken us to so many different places and used us in just as many ways. We have spent some time "on the road" and we have spent several years serving in the Pastoral ministry.
When God called me to preach in 1991, my constant prayer was to be used. I didn't care where! And it wasn't long before God answered that prayer by way of the United States Air Force. I was still on active duty and I received orders to RAF Upper Heyford, England. It was time for us to pack up and leave the nest. We would have to leave Faith Independent Baptist Church in Niceville, Florida. This is the church we got saved at and it is also where God called me to preach. But God had a plan!!
Our time in England was well spent! We immediately became active in our new church ... Victory Baptist Church and God opened doors! I spent most of my "vacation days" each year preaching at different places across Europe! We ministered not just in England, but several times we were able to go to Germany to preach in the local Independent Baptist Churches outside our military installations.
After 2 years it was time to say goodbye to England and return home. Within a short period of time I finished Bible College and left the Air Force for a full-time ministry. That was 15 years ago!
Most of "our" time has been spent in the pastoral ministry! For 6 years, I was the pastor of Welcome Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona ... and I currently pastor Port Norris Baptist Church in New Jersey. But we have also found time for various Bible Conferences and Revival meetings. Our travels have brought us to Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania ... as well as England, Germany, Italy, Guam and the Philippines.
